After a long delay due to Covid-19, a day of family mini sessions at Driftwood beach finally happened! A big THANK YOU to these incredible families for their patience and understanding.
Like many, I was antsy to get back into society to interact with the community again. This May morning represented hope that we were heading in that direction. The worst of the pandemic has past and we begin to integrate into our new everyday lives. I avoid saying “normal” everyday lives because that will never happen. Our “normal” has changed. Many fear touching door knobs, shaking hands, or standing too close to strangers. The spectacular part about photography sessions right now is it avoids all those new fears we have developed but still gives each family the chance to get out for a little fun.
How photography sessions can help your family during Covid-19:
- Out of House Family fun: If you have not had the chance to be apart of a photography session with me, just know that there are fun times to be had! Parents are smiling, children are laughing, and funny moments are captured while you interact. Check out the Porch Picture project I recently did in Camden county for the families stuck at home during this pandemic. There are other options for session ideas to consider if you are not ready to wonder out in public yet with your children. Check out the ideas here.
- Fresh Air: You have been cooped up for the last 10 weeks and your family needs to do SOMETHING! Anything to change the pace and stop the kids from arguing. All sessions during Covid 19 are at locations outside in open spaces for something well deserved Vitamin D.
- Covid 19 approved: A safe distance would be maintained to avoid contact for your safety. (Although I normally LOVE to hug my clients and welcome them to The Living Lenz family, I will respect your space so you feel comfortable and at home) If you prefer, I can wear a face mask during the session.
Check out the family photos below from the May Family mini sessions at Driftwood beach!
The Brown’s and their darling little girl were more than I could bare. Between the giggles and jumps for joy, it was hard to pick the final pictures to edit. So many precious moments shared…then their little one put on a hat and was a natural in front of the camera (I wish I could pose like that as an adult)!
The Hendricks and fluffy fur-baby! This was the second time I got to shoot with them and as always, it was a joy! They go with the flow (even when I make crazy suggestions haha) and had a blast with each other! I am thankful they are part of the The Living Lenz family and I look forward to seeing them again!
The Perkins did not what they were walking into but never missed a step! Not everyone likes to take photos, but you would have never known that watching them goof around. They opened up and trusted me to capture their beautiful loving family.
