The Front Steps Project in Camden County Georgia during COVID-19

It’s no surprise that COVID-19 will be a part of this Blog. It seems to be all anyone can talk about today and why not? It has consumed our lives and changed it in ways we didn’t expect. Although we need to remember, like any bad situation, good can come out of it if we work together. A couple weeks ago, one of my families brought this amazing #TheFrontStepsProject to my attention.  The Project was created by another photographer to help families. I was more than happy to jump on board and capture this time in Camden county Georgia. Even if it gave families a brief distraction.

We are in a unique period.

Not just in our lifetime, but in history!

We are in a unique period. Not just in our lifetime, but in history. For many families, this is the longest they have been locked in a house together. Most will see this as a time of great loss for the loved ones who are not with us. If we work together, maybe we can look back at this time with some nostalgia and have fond memories of moments shared. It may represent a time where we rediscovered our own life priorities, show more support of the local small businesses or just be more germ conscious. One thing is for certain, we will all be changed after COVID-19.

On the last weekend in March, several neighborhoods signed up for a quick drive by #porchpictureproject. While Joel drove, I sat in the bed of the truck and snapped pictures of the families who were outside participating. (Lets give a little love to my husband! I do not know many men who would spend 6 hours driving their wife around without a single complaint!!) Each neighborhood had creative and fun loving activities ready to be captured. I am honored that I am a part of this project and our community.

If you are one of the families who did not get a chance to have this done yet, Please message me directly with your address and we will work out a time for me to come. If you already had your picture taken, please see the gallery link below for you to download your picture. Please share your picture on social media, tell a story about it and tag The Living Lenz so I can hear what it was like on the other side of the camera!
