Along time ago, before I picked up my camera, I lived in Manhattan Kansas with my family (a place I consider to be my origin story). My parents were surrounded by a group of friends that were there for each other – fun times, family or work struggles, and so much more. Once of those friends was Danette and Bob Story. My mom, Janet, met Danette when they worked together a Fort Riley Middle School. A unbreakable bond was formed. Despite my parents moving to Tampa, their friendship continues to thrive. This Family session at Tide Views Preserve in Jacksonville Florida shows it when they booked me as their photographer.

Before Covid 19, Danette reached out to me for a photography session. You can imagine my surprise since I am in Georgia and she is in Kansas. She had a tripped planned to Jacksonville Florida to visit family! I couldn’t believe I would get a chance to catch up her again after 8 years!

This family session was a morning session at Tide Views Preserve in Jacksonville. If you are afraid of sand crabs, then this is not the place for you to walk around at! If you like to adventure around new little places, this preserve is a hidden secret behind a local neighborhood with walk ways over the marsh. It is a great location to see some of the local wildlife, but be sure to bring your bug spray!

Check out for fun family photos of playing games at the picnic tables, and a little football rivalry! It was great to see them again and meet some of the other family members. The Living Lenz family continues to grow across the country!
