You probably have seen these words thrown around a lot this past year from local photographers! That is the current trend for family photographers in order to provide affordable prices for families to capture moments (especially during Covid Struggles), not just once in a year, but many times. After all, a lot can take place in 6 months!

Mini Session Photography is an affordable opportunity for every family

There are private mini sessions & mini session events! – Big difference here! – I am going to explain what each of these mean to me in my business but know that every photographer operates differently (In other words, don’t take this as a standard for every photographer you may work with). The difference is mini sessions are private 30 minute sessions where you get to pick the location for your pictures & props used (if you want to to book a private session, click HERE). While mini session events are only offered during a certain time on a certain day at a specific location. Most likely will have a theme, some decorations, and is a quick session (10 to 15 minute sessions).

I LOVE mini session events for many reasons! It is a chance to try something new & creative (for me AND for the families who book). These events are meant for EVERYONE (Not only families. I say “families” because all my clients family)! The THEMES are so much fun and a fantastic opportunity to partner up with local entrepreneurs for collaboration! I plan 6 events each year with at least 2 SURPRISE events mixed in there! (You only get to know when the surprise events happen if you follow The Living Lenz page & look for the announcements – HINT: a surprise event will be dropping soon!!)

St Marys Georgia Mini session photographer

The Timeless Love Mini session event was the first time I collaborated with someone here in Camden county to bring a really unique experience! This event started back in October 2020 with Angie Halliwell (The Vintage Sailor) through Instagram! (Yup, That is actually how Angie & myself met) We just kept liking each others post and really throwing our support behind each other. Eventually it brought like minded women together who truly believe in COMMUNITY and have a heart for our people who entrust us as professionals!

If you do not know of Angie’s talented woodwork, check out her page now! Her family signs turned out to be a treat that the families get to enjoy forever; along with their pictures! The theme was meant to capture a couple’s love from the 1950’s era (Of course, only if you choose to do the theme or use your booked session to take 15 minute family pictures instead). All sessions included a 15 minute sessions with family signs and you could book a package to include hair & make up with Cara Smith at Studio 912.

Take a look at how special this day turned out to be below. Keep in mind, these couples were amazing coming out to enjoy their session despite the pending storm creeping towards us! That was is so incredible about these events. Nothing can keep a smile off my families faces by the time they are leaving. They may be arriving from a bad day of things but will walk away laughing about how goofy I am (Including the men!!).
