It is no secret, I love capturing couples who become a family and all the many moments that come afterwards. Its not often however, to capture a couple keeping the romance alive even after becoming a family! (Not that all couples don’t keep it alive but I just don’t get to take pictures of it!!) This couple session at Jekyll Island starts off with adorable family portraits and ends with a romantic session in the water!

A couple months ago, Emily reached out wanted to book a full family session. However it had a twist!! She wanted to surprise her husband, Ben, when he came back from deployment. The first half of the session is with them two and their son, Derek. While the second half would be more of a fun intimate setting of Emily and Ben in the waves.

The session was rescheduled the first time because Ben couldn’t make it due to military restrictions (not surprising haha! Good old military phrase – hurry up and wait!) When we finally did meet in person, the pictures turned out stunning. These were actually in the middle of the day when the beach was filled with people. With our luck, we found a secret spot on the beach for ourselves!
