Camden County High School senior Shelby Smiley and her family were some of the first families I met when we moved to Georgia 6 months ago. When we moved from the bustling city of Washington D.C. to the small town of Kingsland Georgia (WOW talk about a lifestyle change), It was an adjustment that my family and I happily made. Within a matter of 6 months after getting married, we moved to a new state, Joel & I both had new jobs, and found out our first baby was on the way (Yup that happened!).  With these many blessings, We found a welcoming Church, Christ Church Camden, that pulled us in. Our little family finally found our home. I met Shelby at church and instantly had respect for this young woman. Fell in love with her during these Dance portraits in Driftwood Beach.

Over the short time here, I have come to realize how incredibly giving Shelby is. With a smile on her face, she is willing to help out a total stranger. We had a great day taking portraits in multiple locations – St Marys waterfront park, Driftwood beach, and amphitheater on Jekyll Island. Not only did we take traditional senior portraits, but also got creative with dance portraits. Between climbing trees and splashing around in a fountain, Shelby showed her fun loving personality while going with the flow.
